In my younger days I had long hair and I would style it in different ways. I even used hair sprays to keep my hair in place.
Years later I had what is called 'Diana haircut' I am now trying to grow my hair but it is simply not growing beyond shoulder length. I have to forget about all those styles that were possible with long hair.
What's your story?

Up until high shool I wore braids and then I cut my hair shoulder length, I have had it that way for the rest of my life and now I just trim my hair when needed,

Nice! When I was young I always cry because my mom and my grandmother would always brought me to the salon and cut my hair shorts, when I was in college is when I finally grew my hair long until now. My hair is wavy and curly black, I don't usually braid it but I always tie it back with a ponytail. Thanks for sharing one of your cutest memories.

Thank you. Mine is the opposite story. It took me a while to convince my husband that I want to cut my hair (lol)

@allknowing Hahahaha so you have to ask permission to your husband that's very sweet.
Yes I have a curly hair and I don't like straightening it, some of my friends want to but I strongly disagree, lol! I just love my hair the way it is.

When I was young I had my hair at shoulder length. I started to let my hair grow when I was 18 and I let it grow very long. Long hair was the trend in the early 70s. I cut my hair back shoulder length after I turned 40 and I cut shorter three years ago, during Covid.

@allknowing - I intend to keep it short now, I like to wash my hair often, it's easier and faster with short hair.

I wanted a pixie cut but my hair won't allow it.
I wanted curls but my hair doesn't allow it as well. I need to put a lot of products to keep it still in place otherwise they will be floating away
I tried curling irons, setting curls, 30 minutes after my hair is flat and straight
