I had taken hamburger meat out to make meatloaf tonight. But grandma took the kids to Arbys, and I wasn't really all that hungry when it was actually dinner time. So I'm just now getting something to eat at almost nine pm.
Chris slept most of the day he's been sick. I made him blueberry muffins earlier, and he couldn't get through one of them. So when he asked a few minutes ago what I was thiningf about eating, I was surprised he said he was hungry.
He ate a ham and cheese sandwich, and I heated up one of those 90 second Hormel Compleat meals. And that was that.
Oh, yeah the complete, was Chicken Alfredo. $2.28. Chris sandwich probably used $0.75 to a dollar worth of ingredients. So pretty frugal.
So that's dinner tonight. What did you feast on?
@AmbiePam , how was your soup?

Well, it was, something. The green tea part was something I could look past being a a soup, but the vegetables combined made short work of it staying in my stomach. Whomever thought being this creative was a good idea is just diabolical.

I mean, it sounds like a hippie dippie or earthy person idea. I don't know. Did that sentence even make sense.
When you send me a whole chicken. Send the spicy soup. Ill make a gravy out of the gel on the chicken and the soup. It'll be like redneck Iron Chef.

I made me a delicious sandwich with one of the croissants I bought. And then, while I was sepatating the weenies, I fried 2. I discovered that I´m not so fond of hotdogs any longer.

We like those Hormel Complete meals for a quick lunch. We just had left overs from the last three days.

@thislittlepennyearns We had a different meal each of those three days and each one of us had something different. Left over spaghetti and meat balls and left over chili and enough left over for two salads.

I am not sure that I could call it a feast, but the son really enjoyed it so it works for me. I made chicken lasagna, some of my garden carrots with brown sugar glaze (OMG they were delicious!) and a big salad. He carved the end off of a loaf of bread I made this morning...he said it was really good, so my mission is accomplished. Plus, there is enough left for another meal soon, and I froze a chunk of the lasagna for him to have at a later date.
I hope Chris feels better soon.

I need to start looking at garage sales and stuff for a bread maker. I've wanted one for years.

I see them at our local thrift stores at times, really nice ones for about $5.
