Today's trip to the big Tesco. (2/10/2024)

We went to the big Tesco again today. When I got there I got rid of the soft recycle, then I went to the Timpson kiosk outside and got a new battery for my watch. It's ticking along nicely now. Then we went up on the lift. First I got 2 TV magazines, because no-one went to the little Tesco on Tuesday again, then I got an Artists and Illustrators magazine. Then I got a bountry bar for Syd. I got 2 bottles of water again, and had to reach for them with my walking stick again! I got 2 prawn layered salads, and then we went to get 2 packets of soothers for Syd. My Mum didn't need any pads today, so we went straight to the fruit and veg section. I got green grapes, 2 lots of strawberries, my blueberries, spring onions, a red pepper and some little gem lettuces for Mum. Then I got a lemon and some walnuts and bananas. I went round the other side to look for some edamame beans, but they didn't have any. Then I got some easy peelers. Then I went and got my mini vegan yoghurts, and we got 3 bottles of milk again because of not going to the little Tesco on Tuesday. My Mum got some puddings for Sunday. Next we went to the cheese isle and got some mini pork pies. Then I found some tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread from the end of the isle. Next we went to the vegan and ready meals isle and I got 4 packets of Fridge Raiders meat free bites. Mum got her ready meals and a large ham and pineapple pizza for tonight's dinner. After that we got a jar of gherkins and a jar of beetroot. I got 3 packets of the Tilda egg fried rice in the green packet. Then I got a little tin of salmon and a tin of Multigataway soup for Syd. Then I looked for some white sliced rolls but couldn't find them, but then I saw them at the end of the isle. Mum got some cakes and some egg custard tarts for tonight's supper. I got some maple syrup. Then I went and got some plain pringles because Syd is trying to cut down on salt. Then we got some biscuits, and I got a box of my Matcha green T-bags. Then I got some porridge oats and some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for myself. Then we went to the frozen section, and I got my vegan magnum ice lollies, some frozen sweetcorn and some frozen chopped garlic. Mum got some frozen beans. Then we went round the other side and I got my salmon chunks and some prawn skewers. My Mum got some mini sausage rolls and something else which I can't remember! I then went and got some toilet paper for Syd, some washing up liquid, some limescale prevention tablets for the washing machine and 2 boxes of latex free gloves, one for me and one for my Mum. Then we went to pay. It came to £140.98p! I gave the lady £160 in £20 notes! I gave the lady Mum's club card and a double points voucher and the voucher for the TV magazines. The lady tried to keep the TV magazine voucher, so I had to indicate I wanted it back, but the double points voucher was finished with. It was just after 4:20pm when I'd finished paying, so I told my Mum I was going to go and swap my book at the Tesco book swap, and that she should probably follow me because it was almost time to go. So I swapped my book at the Tesco book swap and then we went back down on the lift. There was someone sitting on the bench, and it turns out it was someone who my Mum knew from school. She says she has a photo with my Mum on it from when their class had got a float on the Bower. It was called Dr Johnson's School Days and all the kids are dressed the way people dressed in Dr Samuel Johnson's day.. Syd came and we went home. When we got home I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Then I put the recycle out ready for tomorrow. At just after 7:00pm Stuart came to take Mum to the house group, and that's where she is now. What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.
