It's cloudy and raining lightly ahead of Milton. George is outside and once again I heard him putting ice in his cup. I managed to get into the kitchen in time to give George his pills before he went out and now my breakfast is in the microwave. All in all I'd have to say it's a pretty good day. We had a short grid failure, but because the batteries were fully charged, we barely noticed the downtime. Having the solar pannels was a lifesaver.

Our power was out for 2 hours last night. I don't know why. The standby generator kicked in; and all was good. Have a great week.

Power can fail for no reason. We're expecting wide-spread power outages due to Milton. Wish us luck.

It certainly was a dark and gray day, The rain keeps coming down, The cats seem to get upset by dark days probable because there is almost no difference between the night and morning so I have the kitchen light on for them day, My thoughts on the new storm out there are very simple and mostly because I cannot handle any more damage on my nerves, So the Lord is with me and if it is time to meet my nearest and dearest I am ready,

Are you worried about possibly having to evacuate because of Milton? Florida is pretty skinny in the peninsula (it’s about 160 miles from Tampa to Daytona), and if that thing is roaring that won’t be enough land to slow it down or weaken it.

Glad your day has been pretty good so far. Oh, I'd love to have solar panels too. I didn't know you can tell when the batteries are fully charged.
I had a short trip, it rained a little but it was fine.
