Is fatigue more due to lifestyle choices rather than genetics?

We all get tired after certain activities or a day’s activities. The reasons behind fatigue are complex and depends on number of factors. Generally, fatigue is attributed to bodily functions and genetics. However, these days fatigue could be contributed more to lifestyle choices. For starters, demands of modern workplace, stress and over commitment can accelerate fatigue. In some countries and in some work environments, working hours being long and tedious result in fatigue and burnouts as well. Again, poor sleep routines, lack of physical activities and more of a sedentary life also contributes to fatigue. The other not so surprising factor is food. Many are interested in consuming processed foods instead of having a nutritious and balanced food. I believe if we adopt healthier lifestyle, atleast having a balanced food and a minimum exercise, the changes could counteract tiredness. What do you think of the same?

I agree . We have fatigue due to our choices, and we also have fatigue when we decide to go beyond our body limitation to achieve a temporal goal without thinking a permanent negative result on our daily living.

@RevivedWarrior that's why we need to choose who we talk with, and make sure to not let work destroy our peace.

Fatigue is all due to lack of the right kind of nutrients in one's body

I think that's a person to person basis. FItigue does have many factors. Underlying conditions being one of the many causes. But, asking someone to adopt a lifestyle change isn't always easy and needs to be done on their own terms. The human body can reject anything, include a lifestyle change effort. For me, I've started to sleep a bit better more recently, by going to bed around the same time as my husband. He still gets out of bed well before me, but I've gotten to where I can drift off for another hour or so and be perfectly fine. I of course make sure George makes it safely to the couch before I try. But for years I'd gotten myself turned around and that worked out fine because I worked at night mostly. Rarely got day shift. But I'm getting back to where I sleep at night. It's different for everyone and if changes can be made that person needs to be the one to make them. And for each person that lifestyle change might be different.

In my case I try to get some exercise daily to keep my mind sharp to work behind a desk.

I've experienced that myself, so I can't help but agree. I strive for a balanced diet and occasionally take magnesium. Many people have vitamin and mineral deficiencies and don't know it.

I did read in a health magazine that we should have mineral and health supplements in addition to our food to take care of the deficiencies if any. Thanks for sharing!
