Ganges is one of the biggest rivers in India. It is a snow fed river. But during the monsoon in the plain areas the rains provide water. Now in winter in every part of India, Ganges is full of water. It is a rich source of cultivation.

thanks judy the major part of people do agriculture around the banks of the river in states like UP, Bihar, Bengal

thanks Rasma yes there are certain other rivers in India like Damodar which cause floods
