What will you do if you have a noisy neighbor?

A family has just moved in a few doors away from here, and their kids have been shouting nearly all day. I'm not sure if they arrived yesterday or this morning, but I know they are new residents since it's been quiet here until now. The kids even knocked on my door, which caused my dogs to bark non-stop. They keep running up and down the hallway, making a lot of noise. I wonder why their parents don’t stop them, as they are not the only ones living in the building. Most of the residents here are professionals, including doctors, nurses, and flight instructors. What will you do if you have a noisy neighbor?

I would talk to the kids and then to their parents if they kept continuing their ruckus!

@freelancermariagrace The neighbours saved you from confronting them!

Haha, that's something I will do next time if they repeat it. I'm glad they stopped. Maybe the other neighbors talked to them.

@anya12adwi Indeed. As much as possible, I do not like confrontations. I do not want to stress myself

You can talk to the management or landowner about that unstopable noise maybe they will keep quiet if you will do it.

They are quiet for now. Perhaps the other neighbors noticed the noise they were making and talked to them.

@freelancermariagrace The present generatio is noted for it I remember my niece letting her son meddle with things when they visited a house but never let him touch anythingin her own house.

Yes, dogs can bark excessively. The apartment where I live is pet-friendly, so it's understandable that it can become noisy at times. Parents who allow their children to engage in disruptive behavior, such as knocking on doors and shouting loudly throughout the day, are difficult to understand. These parents often exhibit the same behavior themselves; they speak loudly and don't even bother to close their doors to contain the noise they create.

talk to the management. That is really bothering. Those parents have bad parenting skills, they really don't disciple their kids and when you talk to them they are the one who are mad and plays victim. I hate those kind of parents and neighbors. I hope your apartment management will do something about that.

Yes, I will do it, especially when they do it again. I guess someone already talked to them because they became quiet. Hahaha. I do not like those parents who tolerate their kids not to behave, especially when they are not the only ones living in the building. It is okay if they have their own house. They can do whatever they want to do.

Yes, I will speak to them kindly if it happens again. For now, they have stopped making noise. Haha. Perhaps someone talked to them because the kids were very loud and didn’t bother to close their door to contain the sound.

Next time they do it, I will politely ask them to stop. I was lying on the bed and relaxing when the kids knocked on my door and ran away.

I have had to complain to management before, and management talked to the offending party about it. They did quiet down after that.

I will do that if they do it again, especially when knocking at my door, and they will laugh afterward. Yes, they are kids, but the parents seem to tolerate them.

In the end, I had no choice but to move as nothing was done to them. I did everything humanly possible to try to rectify it, including writing to management owners..no good. I am so sorry you are dealing with this nonsense. So disturbing.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to move due to annoying neighbors. They are quiet now, so perhaps the neighbor next door confronted them. Haha!

Hopefully one of the others will say something to them before you have to.
