Visited my Tom today

They moved him to a private room last night. Sure is nice to be able to move around without running into something or someone. A little concerned. The lead nurse came in while I was there, and I asked her about his pneumonia. She was unaware he had pneumonia, and said..well when he was admitted they THOUGHT he had pneumonia. I said well if he doesn't have pneumonia..what is wrong with him. She told me his nurse would have all that information. Even Tom isn' sure what is wrong with him. I intend to call and see if I can talk to his nurse tomorrow or the doctor. He has a different doctor today. Seems weird, and they are keeping him medicated. No IV connected, no oxygen today. Kind of strange. I kind of know why they are medicating him as he is what they call a working alcoholic and his body would go into DTs if they did not medicate him. He was shaking yesterday. Anyway, just praying he gets better and hoping he can be home for Turkey Day.

It is weird the way people are treated in hospitals in your country. Totally different from here.

Sounds like he's doing well. But, it's strange you'd get one diagnosis only to have someone else tell you different.
