As I mentioned earlier we needed to get some meds for my MIL who is sick. I did get paid for a freelance article today so while I had a little bit of money we still try to conserve and budget when we can.
So I picked up a bottle of liquid tussin and some decongestant sinus meds in pill form for her. We we're also short of sleep aid- so I got a bottle of that. I also grabbed two candles for our room since the one we have been burning is nearly dead.
I spent a whopping $6.43. I know super exciting.
They don't charge sales tax on medicine here. Is that an everywhere thing or just a Florida thing?

I am sure they make up for it with very high income taxes and property taxes, but I am not sure about that It's like Florida. No income tax, but the sales tax is very high compared to other states, and it's that way anywhere there's no state income tax. They get you one way or another.

I hate that every county here has a different tax rate- its annoying. Panama City is 8.5 percent. It's seven percent here. It's seven and a half in Pensacola. So annoying. Especially when I first moved to Floirda. I grew up with no sales tax.

That's nice not having to pay sales tax on medicine. I don't think we share the same "benefit" as you do there, but then I haven't really paid much attention to these matters as of late. We don't have to buy medications in a while, for which we're grateful.
