Cockles collecting - a memory

Years ago before I got married I was staying with my sister in the city Their building was close to the sea. We once planned to go the sea shore to collect cockles. When the water recedes (ebb) the cockles get stuck in the sand. It was a joy to spot them there. And we had collected quite a few Image credit:

I always love being at the seaside. It has been a long time that I have not been at this place. As for me, I used to collect unique stones and the like.

We always collected them in Italy when we went walking by the sea early in the morning.

you collected many. i also had a shells collection when i was little, i would collect those at the beach.

Whenever I visited Puri Sea bEach I took a small bag with me to collect these cockle shells and paint them and dry them on our terrace once I came back home from the trip!
