We were gone a big part of the day

Trying to get back to "normal" to go back to work on Friday, I got up at 5 and did a few things. Bob also woke up early because he was afraid he would miss his appointments.
I fell asleep in my armchair, under my heated throw.
We had to drive to McPherson (about an hour) for eye doctor appointments. Bob has not been in years. I go every six months. I have been thinking since last summer that he has had quite a bit of change in his vision. I was right. He has cataracts that are ready to be removed. We will get that scheduled, likely at Marion, which is only a 12 minute drive.
My eyes are fine, and are in good health. Doc always shows me pictures of the inside and how healthy the optic nerves look. Bob's you could see the dimming from the cataracts. I go every six months because he watches for some of the bad eye diseases others in my family have had.
We went to the Pizza Hut Buffet while we were in McPherson. We have only been there one other time since the pandemic shut everything down. It does not taste as good as it used to, but it still was a good meal.
I picked up some eye drops for me at Walmart. My insurance card covered the purchase.
I had forgotten that Bob's kidney doctor wanted some labs run this week. We stopped in Marion and got that done.
When we got home Bob turned in his library book. I have worked on next week's church music and we have just finished supper.
It is cooler tonight. That is okay. We have to have winter sometime.

I hope that you can get Bob's eye procedure scheduled fairly soon.
In January we have to choose our health benefits package from our employer, and every year things seem to shift to changes I feel are related to our age.
Next month I will have to look into the out of country health care coverage, since we are considering going away for Christmas next year. I take 4 different meds so I may not be affordable for such short term insurance, but I cannot imagine going without it.
When we left to go out for supper tonight it was raining, but it was trying to switch over, when we came out after eating, it was a wet snow falling. We are having winter tonight too.

My benefits change every year, and not always for the better. I hope you can stay in from the snow.

I got up to -2 F. It is up to 9 now, with sun shining off the snow. Stay as warm as you can.

I'm glad to hear you go to the eye doctor every 6 months...so do I. I have glaucoma; and that's one of the things they check for. We have another Lake Effect S**w Warning. I hate winter!!!Happy New Year!

My doctor codes the billing for me as pre glaucoma. My pressures have always been high, though. He says I seem to have thicker than usual corneas.
