The day sure has caught up to me.

Today has been a long busy day. We spent about an hour waiting to be seen by the doctor. While the waiting annoyed the hell out of us, we had a good appointment. I have a pile of clean clothes on our bed that need to be put away, but I'll get around to it before we hit the hey tonight. George needs one final shake, and we won't be going to bed for a while.
I did eventually empty the dishwasher though, which was on the to-dodo list since last night when I did it.

Dr appts is never a good way to start the day off with
I always set mine up for around noon being it's on the
way of doing bills for the day, so it works out pretty good.
I just went & got my new dishwasher today & probably
won't be getting it set up till spring being I need my
cabinets put in 1st that I don't have yet in the kitchen.

George and I always try to do afternoon appointments, ourselves. He used to be a morning person, but it's a real struggle to get him moving the later times make it easier on us. He can take his time, and we have time to get things done. And, I'm not sitting there asking myself, are we going to get there on time.

@kaylachan I know how that goes as well
I hate being rushed & that came from me
being in the hosp all them early dr appts
seem like every other day go here go there
& when you had 15 Dr's working on you
it was crazy.

@2ndchances24 We are not morning people. Mornings are hard for us.

Glad the appointment went well. Glad he likes the shakes and is he also eating hot dogs? That came to mind since I order my groceries on Saturday and hot dogs are no my list,

Then you have the walk-ins who may or may not get in ahead of you. On the one hand, George and I didn't feel like we were waiting in a closet. I wound up blocking my doctor's office. I am NOT doing it alone, and I am NOT going to drag through that. It's hard enough to navigate where the office is located, I am NOT going to try when George struggles to walk, and the wheel chair ramp isn't clearly visable, and the sidewalk is to narrow for George to use my chair like a walker. Hell, me getting in with my chair by myself I've cut my hand nine times out of ten.
I've never been a fan of going to the doctors because "you shuld". Which is why we haven't even tried with the VA's eye doctor. Unless it's needed for driving, I don't know how an eye doctor is going to conduct an exame, when what George says can't fully be trusted.

I'll get it done or I won't sleep in bed. Simple as that. I'm just not rushing off to do it. I'll do it when George's ready for bed.
