The Dynaxion automobile was designed by the American inventor, Buckminster Fuller. It was featured at the 1933/1934 Chicago's Worlds Fair. With donations and his own savings, Fuller made three experimental prototypes. He explored the 'ground-taxing' phase of a vehicle that one day might be able to fly. It was designed for increased fuel efficiency. Soon after the car was launched a driver crashed the car and died. It was probably due to the back wheel and the severe limitations in its handling. This was because it was unsuitable for anything but low speeds because of the rear-wheel steering and a limited understanding of the effects of turbulence and lift of automobile bodies in that time period. Only the three replicas are in existence. One is located at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Another is located at National Automotive Museum in Reno, Nevada, and, one in Pennsylvania. An odd shape for a car that would look good in a superhero movie.

Yes, it does. It isn't shaped well for good speed.
