Can you study a foreign language 8 hours daily?

I just saw an offer. They are offering a 5-week course. And it's free. But I need to study French for 8 hours daily. And they said that we would learn French in only 5 weeks. The course will last for 5 weeks. I have depression and anxiety and I am not able to concentrate for 8 hours. I studied French for 2 hours and I feel very tired. But 8 hours? I wonder if someone can study a language for so long. Maybe it's a good opportunity, but now I am studying alone. And I can see how difficult it is. I don't want to end up feeling exhausted and burned out. Even in high school, I didn't have to learn so many hours.

I don't think that studying 8 hours straight is good for any subject. It will be a torture

No one can sit or concentrate for straight 8 hours on anything including gaming. So learning a language in just 5 weeks with studying daily 8 hours would not be possible. I guess what they would have meant is in 5 weeks , you would learn , read nd write elementary french , which is possible. But learning a language within this time frame is highly impossible given that to understand grammar and pronounciation itself would take time.Suggest you to learn at your pace and convenience and not push your self too much. Given your conditions , it may not be best decision. Slow and steady wins the race. Take care!

Yes. Thank you, I will learn at my pace, even if it's slower.

Living in the country would be easier. If I would learn for so many hours I would need a lot of breaks.

I don't think it can be done. It would overload my brain to study like that.
