One of the easiest growing seasonal flowers is the Marigold. They come in different sizes but nothing like having African Marigold that will brighten up any garden with their size and colour Another amazing fact about marigolds is that they are insect repellents. Every kind of pests are repelled where there are these marigold plants. They have a strong but pleasant odour which perhaps is the reason insects do not come anywhere near them Our garden was loaded with them not so long ago and as is the case with seasonal flowers they too have disappeared from our garden. I usually plant some around the chicken coop to keep flies away in the summer. Works well for that!

I miss them. During the time seasonal flowers bloomed in our garden marigolds were among them.
