What a morning.

Well good morning again. Woke up to cloudy skies and rain loud enugh to hear. In typical florida fashion, when I look out the kitchen window, I can see patches of blue skies. The storm itself probably won't last long, and should clear up by the afternoon. I just don't know if it'll be enough for the jet dryers. Xances are they'll forgo the pratice or qaulifying races to get tonight's xifenty cars going.
Tomorrow is the famous Daytona 500, and just like that, race season has begun.

I had forgotten that race season started this week. It's always the following week after the SuperBowl.

Usually, yeah. It depends on when Superbowel is. Speed weeks usually starts near the middle/end of feb.

@kaylachan It has been so long since I've paid close attention to Nascar, that I am not sure that I even know any of the drivers anymore. I used to know who they all were bu that was back when Mark Martin and Elliot Sadler drove.

@thislittlepennyearns I hear names, but I don't know who's who. Unless I'm listening to the t.v. I have no clue. George's answer to anything nascar-related is "ford", even though he knows that there are Toyotas and the ther thing. But, "ford" is easier for his post-stroke brain to remember.

I watched Daytona in ESPN before. But now I no longer has the channel. In the past, I used to think that is boring to run round an oval track compared to F1 but as I grew older, I start to appreciate the race as it take more than just the driver alone to win the race.

I say whoopee to race season. I am feeling that close to spring tiredness and just want peace and quiet. I hope you both had a good day and will have a nice evening. I can now see the sun going down over Halifax River.
