I noticed the buds over the weekend and have been waiting for more of them to bloom so that I could snag a photo for you! I was worried and wondering if the daffodils would bloom after that 2nd arctic blast with temps back to 20 and into the teens with the wind chill factor for 2 nights in a row here. They survived and are now blooming, as you can see. I haven't seen anymore blooms on the white daffodils, but will keep watch. I love all of these signs of spring and survival showing up around here! These pop up randomly here and are native flowers to the area.

They are pretty, those flowers can usually withstand colder temperatures than others.

Yes, they usually bloom in early February. I had forgotten about them this year. And also wondered after those temps in the teens!!

I don't remember your answer to my question on your post on them. They look like trees, but are not the fruit bearing plum trees?

Wondering if they need a cold snap to encourage them to blossom?

I think if that was the case, they would have bloomed earlier here. I know in recent years we have seen them in January and February and it is late February here now. So they are actually a little late for my area this year.
