Animal rescue group rescues a deer in a frozen lake in New York state

Officials with the Strong Island Animal Rescue League which is located in New York's Long Island answered an emergency call to rescue a female deer who is around three years of age who was trapped in a frozen river at Southaven Park in Yaphank in Suffolk County on Wednesday February 12.
Strong Island rescuers Frankie Floridia and Ryan Gilmartin teamed up to rescue the female deer by using a paddle to rescue the deer who was in the frozen river and get the female deer out of the frozen river to the shore.
The deer was taken by her rescuers to the Evelyn Alexander Rescue Center where the deer will be taken care of and released in a few days.

Oh deer poor deer I am glad it got rescued. Now if only there was a way to tell deer don't step on shiny ice keep to solid ground.

That is a great deed by the rescuers. I hope the Deer is in good health and did not get health issues due to the freezing water.
