Have you ever been to a New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade? It's crazy, it's wild, it's one of a kind!
The 2025 Bacchus Parade is about to roll in the big city that celebrates Mardi Gras like no other, New Orleans, LA.

When I lived in Metairie from 1978-2009, my relatives and myself were able to see parades in person which were great to see up close and personal.

Yes, I saw many in my life. I grew up in Bogalusa. We had parades there and my grandmother lived in Covington. Some of the New Orleans parades rolled in NO and then came across the Causeway into Covington. And then later when we moved to Baton Rouge, parades there, but I found them to be a bit boring compared to the NO parades and floats!!

@kareng Lake Charles does have a few parades during Carnival season that are mild compared to parades in the New Orleans area.

@Deepizzaguy When we moved to Baton Rouge, I was very disappointed in the parade there after growing up on New Orleans parades. We used to go down on the weekend before and sometimes Mardi Gras Day. After you experience those, the others are boring.

I couldn’t even imagine. I was in the French Quarter on New Year’s Eve one year, and that was enough insanity for me.

I never have and these days I would not feel safe among a very large crowd. I was always curious of seeing both the Mardi Gras in New Orleans and the one in Brazil and doing some samba.
