It's pancake day today!
When I got up this morning, a big truck thing was infront of our house doing something. They left a traffic cone at the end of our drive, and a sign. My Mum still wasn't up. She got downstairs at around 9:30am.
I had my pills, and I have to wait half an hour then before breakfast. After I'd had my breakfast, I had a cup of Matcha green tea. My Mum wrote her shopping list.
At about 10:30am I went out to the shop. It was really sunny out. I got to the end of my drive and looked at the sign. It said "FOOTPATH AHEAD CLOSED." So I crossed over the road infront of my house instead of further up. It's a very steep slope over the road.
I got to the shop, and as soon as I got in there I was immediately looking for pancakes for my Mum. I went to get the TV magazines as usual, then went round and got some chocolate croissants for my Mum and Syd for their supper tonight. But I couldn't see any pancakes. I saw some tortillas again, but no pancakes. I got a snickers and some fudge sweets for Syd.
Then I went round and got some strawberries. Then I went scanning the shelves and chill cabinets looking for pancakes, but could I find any? No, I could not!
I treated myself to another notebook, and then I went and got the milk. Then I went off to pay. It came to just over £13 without club card, and just over £12 with club card. Then I set off for home.
I turned into my road and preceded towards my house. But before I knew it I'd forgotten that it said the footpath was closed, and I forgot to stay on that side of the road to cross over nearer my house! I realised too late that Id crossed the road and was going the usual way!
Fortunately, no-one was working on the footpath at the time, and there were no workmen around, so I quickly got to my house, dodging a thing in the path probably covering a hole and dodging the sign saying footpath closed! I got to my house quick and got inside with haste!
When I got in I went to give my Mum her change, club card and shopping list, and tell her the bad news that I couldn't get any pancakes! I just stood there with a sombre look on my face, and she said, You're kidding? I just shrugged. She said, Not even the Scottish ones? I said, No. All I could see were tortillas! She's got an idea she might get Syd to take her to the big Tesco to see if they can get some!
So I unpacked the groceries and put them away, and now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again!
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Were you looking for the pancakes or the pancake mix? Sorry that you couldn't find it. Hopefully, they can get it in Big Tesco. Enjoy your show. It's 7:15 PM here and the day is about to get over. I will have my dinner now.

@sharonelton Glad that you finally found it. Hope you enjoyed your pancakes for dinner. I assume that it is something to heat and eat kinds.
The conversation is from 4 March. I can't recall what I had for dinner
. Yesterday, we had pav bhaji ( a famous street food here). It was home made and very yummy!

@arunima25 I had my pancakes for lunch on actual pancake day. Mine were vegan Japanese style pancakes. My Mum and Syd had the ready made pancakes on the Wednesday night. You just stick 'em in the microwave and ping, they're done!
I've been having experimental dinners sometimes over the last couple of weeks so I'm forgetting what I had on any given day too!

I was looking for ready made pancakes. My Mum is not patient enough to make her own pancakes! I found some in the big Tesco when I went this afternoon, so they had their pancakes tonight instead.
I did, thank you very much. I hope you enjoyed your dinner. What did you have?

Me, I make my own Japanese style pancakes, with flour and a bit of mirin and soy sauce mixed up and put in the fridge for half hour and then I add chopped up cabbage to it and then fry them in the frying pan and I make a sauce with soy sauce and mirin to go on top, simmering on another ring on the hob and they are yummy!
