Crockery, cutlery languishing

There was a time when the dinner table used to be laid out in style specially when guests arrived. Not any more.
We have a buffet table and that is where food is kept in vessels in which food is cooked.
Sitting back I now wonder if it was really necessary for all that fanfare All that care we had to take dealing with the delicate crockery

I do appreciate the beauty of a really nice table setting. I don’t use all of the nice tableware much anymore. I do use some special bowls and plates during the holidays.

I have two beautiful dinner sets but they are languishing. Good that you still use some bowls,.

I have quite a few pieces of Corelle just lying unused. Good you still take out your best crockery adn that is how it should be My cupboard is loaded.
