I thought it would take a while, but six days later the boat is afloat, so I got that wrong! Guess he had enough of West Drayton and was keen to get onto Derby. Still, I am sure it will take a few days to clean and dry everything out.

I would not mind living in that boat.

@Ronrybs my thought exactly because my friends and i here in Florida were thinking a large houseboat would be ideal to live in and share but then we have hurricane season - can you imagine what could happen?

@RasmaSandra Hurricanes are far too powerful to want to be on a boat!

I use to think living on a canal boat was a romantic way of life, but after seeing that sunk boat I am not so sure!

Wow, I wonder what that cost him! But you'd have to refloat it. Imagine the mess.

That was most of my thinking, how long and how expensive to clean it all up

I passed the spot today and the boat is still there. Looks like work is still ongoing

It was still there on Sunday, so that has been a couple of weeks now

It’s good that they got it on top. It will definitely take some drying and cleaning.

Yep, that is a lot of effort and no little bit of cash. Still, once it is done he can make his way to Derby

Hopefully the internal repair process will be sped up as well.
