Five Apex North Carolina Police officers answered an emergency call from a eyewitness who reported seeing a bald eagle that had injured a wing after an accident on Saturday March 1st. The names of the police officer are by their last names Officers Lamb, Elfberg, Murphy, Moore and Kalinowski came to the rescue of the bald eagle who needed their assistance. The police officers then contacted Holly Springs Police North Carolina's animal control officer Luke Howard who took the injured eagle to a local bird sanctuary to be evaluated for the injury to one of its wings. Great job by the officers! The eagle should be fine with some time for healing.

One police officer had strong gloves on and with that fierce looking eagle with its big beak this would seem to be a good precaution. The other officer handling it with bare hands certainly should have been wearing gloves too. It is good the eagle will receive treatment for its wing.
