I like this idea from the Brown County Homeless Coalition in Green Bay Wisconsin that has elementary schools to make a difference for persons in need by collecting items for the homeless by having students at Langlade Elementary School who donated over 8,000 items related to hygiene to assist the homeless. Langlade Elementary School Principal Melissa Wojcik is happy that due to her leadership students are learning skills to make a difference in their community which is a good deal to offset the negative stories on the alternate media of school fights.
