In the good old days we had different types of seasonal flowers and among them were the marigolds.
This plant had a bumper yield and lasted quite a few months The plant almost withered but it did not give up yielding
The image shows how withered the plant is but it flowered till its last breath.

Marigolds are a very pretty annual flower. They come in various bright colors; I prefer yellowish gold ones and are quite hardy tolerating summer heat well. I plant some in my garden to keep away garden pests due to their scent.

Flowers will give it all they have. Mine lasted nine months until the freeze killed them.
