Jalebi is an Indian sweet quite popular. Ideal for those with a sweet tooth.
It can be made at home but with some practice. I have not been successful in my attempt. But the store closeby always has stocks and so also my fridge likes to have it stored.
It is crunchy and sweet. Here is a recipe if you want to give it a try Good Luck

Jalebi is such a treat! Crispy, syrupy, and totally addictive. Lucky you for having a store nearby that always stocks it! I might just have to try making it myself—though I have a feeling the store-bought ones will still win

When they are readily available why take the trouble?

@allknowing Exactly! Store-bought is convenient, but homemade has its own charm—plus, you get to control the sweetness

@allknowing Now you’ve dragged up my memories of eating jalebis just about every day from street vendors in Delhi a long time ago. Thanks.

Delhi is loaded with street vendors and if you did not do justice then you did not belong there

It looks a lot like funnel cakes sold here in the US at fairs. One difference is that at fairs the funnel cakes are coated with powdered sugar. I see jilabi is soaked in hot sugar syrup.

Cakes are normally baked. How are funnel cakes made?

Jalebis are my one of my favorites!! My mom tried making it at home but it didn't taste like the ones we buy from sweet shops.

What you get in shops is there with years of experience.
