Waiting Game.

It has been almost six hours and my laptop is still in recovery mode. I hope I will still able to use for a few more years before I need to replace it. But my hope is decreasing. I don't have money for replacement right now, need to save some money soon for this one. But of course, being a mom and only hubby is the source of income, this is not our priority with the upcoming college fees and other school fees.

I hope that it is repaired soon and you don't have to replace it soon..I got my laptop from repairing shop yesterday and it was thankfully fixed within my budget. I had similar feelings. I hope that it is good to go for few more years.

@arunima25 It is working now but the technician told me that he has to install some things and the internet adapter was gone so now I am using a Lan cable to connect it to the internet

Let the recovery mode continue. If it's still in recovery mode tomorrow, then I'd try setting it back to factory settings. You'll lose everything on it but, if factory reset works, you won't have to buy a new laptop.
I'm sorry your laptop chose this time to have an error in it's system programming... I hope there's nothing on it you will hate to lose. Good luck with it!

@DaddyEvil yes, now my problem is that the internet connection cannot be restored. I cannot see the wifi there though when I checked the adapters are installed
