Do You Still Buy Physical Media? (Books, CDs, DVDs, etc.)

United States

With everything going digital these days—streaming services, eBooks, music apps—I’m curious how many people still buy physical media. Do you still pick up DVDs, vinyl records, CDs, or physical books? Or have you gone fully digital? Personally, I still enjoy the feeling of flipping through a book. listening to a CD or having a movie collection on the shelf. There’s just something about owning the real thing. What about you?

I just bought a book today. I've been looking for it for years. I think it influenced who I am today. I can't wait until it arrives.

@TimBurWrites I like comics , pocketbooks and short story books but I don't buy books anymore. I have more notebooks until now for my educational and training purposes.

For me a real book means letters printed on paper. And lately I´m giving away my vynils because they are mostly in the second floor of my house.

I do. Apple Music removed one of my favorite Poco albums from their service. That’s okay, I still have it!

When I had money, I did. I still get physical books from the library. I will always choose physical books over a Kindle. Like you said, it's nicer to be able to turn the pages of a book yourself. I have several CDs that I haven't listened to in a while, but only 'cause life has gotten so darn busy.

Yes to all of those things. I rarely buy brand new, but I definitely buy CDs, DVDs and especially, books. I've even bought a few vinyl records recently after a hiatus of about 40 years!
