A close up of cherry blossoms is a pleasant surprise. The formation of those flowers are so distinct and many will only look for cherries and not bother to look at what a cherry tree looks like when it is in blossom Every fruit tree will have blossoms before they turn into fruits. Each fruit has it is own identity not just when it comes to fruit but also with the blossoms. No blossom is the same as the other. Wonders of nature Image credit:

But they are not given due importance as we tend to concentrate just on fruits.

@allknowing There is a flowering plum which has insignificant fruit. Flowering quince is another one too. There might be others.

I remember looking out for these when I was in New York. It was springtime, right when the cherry blossoms were starting to bloom—perfect timing. We even took a trip to Washington, D.C. just to see the blossoms there. We got there a few days after the peak bloom, but honestly, it was still such a beautiful sight. I wasn't disappointed at all.

That reminds me of my disappointment while in Amsterdam . We missed the Tulip season just by 15 days,

@allknowing Yeah, I totally get that—sometimes it all comes down to timing if you want to catch them in their full glory. I’m really glad I wasn’t disappointed when I saw the cherry blossoms in D.C., even though some of the trees had already started shedding their petals. I just made the most of what was still there, and honestly, it was still such a lovely sight.

@rsa101 Even having the opportunity to see just one tree in full bloom could be quite satisfying
