I used to write a post every Friday about what was getting thrown out. The point was to keep us accountable of what we were and weren't using during the week and what actual waste we had.
I didn't get a picture this week of the waste but it wasn't that bad actually. But I attached a picture of the fridge after I cleaned it out.
There was about half a cup of leftover sausage gravy from the last weekend. The only other thing that got tossed was two spoonfuls of pulled pork BBQ from last week when I made pulled pork last week.
So overall not that much.
And it didn't get thrown away. It got put on Rebels kibble. And she was more than happy to be the garbage disposal.
So that's our waste this week. How did you do? Do you have a designated day each week that you toss out the food that is past its prime?

For some reason it rarely happens here. I guess we mostly just buy what we need over the next few days. We waste very little.

No, I just try not to leave it in the fridge too long. I have leftover rice from chop suey that I'll use for fried rice today. Our son and grandson are coming for dinner after Dale and Robert play golf.
