What Makes for a Hummingbird Paradise?

Most of us feel that hummingbirds are lovely creatures and would love to see them in the spring and summer months. Why do you think your yard never has any of these birds fluttering around? It could be your choice of flowers. Too much green can be invisible to a hummingbird. The same goes for blue and black, or even white. They may associate these colors with poor food sources. Hummingbirds have learned over time that red is a major color associated with nectar-rich flowers. Orange, purple, blue, and pink shades will also attract them to your yard. Even wearing these colors can help.

Maybe if you put on a bright colored outfit and go walk around your yard one will come in.
