Its Amazing, how many door to door sales people we get now. This is the first of a pretty young lady. They have always been men, because men are cocky and think they indestructible . This pretty lady was like Verizon something...... Kai stay back. Meanwhile side fence is open and young Delta rushes out and corners the lady. I was like Miss, I did not say it, but you about to be attacked, not in a mean way but in a way dogs who are nice do. They bark, they smell, determine if you are a threat. I was just thinking how she must have felt and yet she just kept going on. Verizon something and something. I go we have Verizon. She is like yeah but internet but now brother is there, yes internet too. What the hell is Verizon using door to door sales people for. Is times already so bad they worried and shifted gears. Anyway, it was quite comical. Young Delta blocking her path out. Move Delta. I got her, she is very nice, but likes to voice her opinion. The lady frozen like a deer in headlights. Um, Miss, that would be the time to make your exit. She was so slow, Kai even rumbled her way out the back and was ready to tangle with the young lady. I grabbed big Kai Kai and go, no. Probably time to move the beware of Dog sign to the front fence so people maybe see it. We have it there because its actually easier to read, but if these sales people are going to be so brazen. They need it in 3D, right in front of their face. I actually think dogs better than guns.. Damn did little Delta and Kai do their jobs well. Sure is stressful because how people get scared when it was there the whole time. Be ware of Dog. Read the damn sign and enjoy your well earned life.

I used to be a water meter reader, and so I had many encounters with dogs. One little old lady had her small dog in the front garden with her, and told me to come in, the dog will not bother you, but as soon as I went in, it went for me, chomping into my leg, which luckily, I had protected with metal leg bicycle bands/clips, placed there for that purpose. The little old lady just laughed, as she said that is the first time my dog has done that to anyone. I shook my leg, and booted it away from me, saying yes, I hope it has leant a lesson now from me too.

@innertalks Dogs defend their family plain and simple. They do not play, even the nicest most respectful ones. They really need to train people and owners of this better. I even fall for it. They nice, we raised them right but when you raise them right they can become even more protective , most usually in a polite way, buts its dangerous because if they do interpret something bad, they can go off and usually will give nasty warning signs buts its stressful on both parties because no one knows which way they will go. Those being guard dogs. Other dogs not bred for that, will give even give warning, butt so nice, no worries.

@crossbones27 Yes, the moment that we overtrust a dog, it will often betray that trust. We should never completely trust an animal. My wife used to have a small dog, that she allowed to sleep in/on her own bed, but I was never comfortable about that.

@innertalks They do not betray our trust, what I seen anyway they just take the trust to far, do not know when to stop when we tell them. They essentially love that person so much they cannot make rationale dog decisions and that is a thing. So maybe you are right in not trusting it but a easy fix for you would be get on the dogs good side.
