A Good Deal

My Polish student who is learning conversational English with me has been in my class for quite sometime. I can tell how much he enjoys learning English all the time. If you remember my discussion about logorrhoea, he is the one I am referring to.
He's got a proposal. He offered to buy a MacBook for me in Poland and send it to me here in Jeddah. He said to offer it for free in exchange for some English lessons. I accepted the deal with all my heart. Now, I am looking forward to it.
What do you think, guys?

That's a great deal for both of you. I just hope that the shipping charges are so much and it's worth shipping ot from one country to other.

I wonder how expensive it will be for your student to ship a MacBook from his country to where you live? I once looked at sending a laptop to a friend in the Philippines but it would have cost more to ship it from the US than I paid for the laptop itself. I finally just sent the money to buy the laptop to my friend instead so she could buy what she wanted.
If your student wants to do it, then I'd say that's not a bad deal for either of you.
As far as I know, you'll only need a travel adaptor to plug the MacBook in to charge it since it's already set up to travel from country to country in case the owner travels a lot. That should be fairly cheap. (The travel adaptor is just so the plug on the MacBook matches the plug style in the UAE.)

That's a really thoughtful approach! Shipping costs can definitely be a hassle, and it makes sense to just send money so your friend can buy what they need locally. It's great to hear that the MacBook is already equipped for international travel with just a simple adapter needed for charging. This definitely makes it easier for students who are traveling or moving. I hope your student finds the best solution that works for them! My student knows a lot about electrical stuff. He's sending a second hand one and he is going to modify it actually to fit for my needs.

That's a good proposal and I hope that it would be beneficial to both of you. Although I haven't bought any electronic device from other place, so I am not sure if it would be safe to ship this kind of product.

It's good if he will give you a laptop for free.

@Neil43 Good for you. I think he is kind of rich that's why he can give you a laptop or maybe he's joking. I don't know.
