Q of the Day: What Things Do You Hate Waiting For?

Not all things in life run smoothly, but some of the things we have to deal with are very time consuming and downright annoying. Here are two I'll share with you: 1. Doctor's office- I feel very anxious and a bit uncomfortable when waiting in the exam room for the doctor. The time waiting for the doctor feels like such a long time, yet it is probably about 10 minutes. I guess it is the waiting in silence staring at the walls sitting on the exam table while waiting for him to enter. 2. Speaking with a Medical Customer Service Representative, Cable TV Agent, or Credit Card Company person- That's three I've had to deal with, and they usually require going through an automated menu before even getting connected. If you're fortunate enough to navigate yourself to actually speaking with an agent, you will still receive a wait time before speaking to someone. Then, after patiently waiting, you might be connected to someone else during the course of your phone call depending on your inquiry, possibly getting disconnected in the process. Something that has happened to me. Have this happened to you? So, how many other examples can you add to those I already mentioned as an annoying wait. What was your experience? There are so many if you think about it. How do you handle waiting? How's your patience? Do you find something to do while waiting to pass the time? ***I take something to read or bring a crossword puzzle book with me. Photo- quotefancy.Tom Petty

dentist/hospital/doctor, it feels like eternity. i hate talking on phone and especially to agents. i hate waiting for a bus or tram cause other people around me make me nervous; showing always up and preparing to cut the line.

Some good examples there. Yes, there always seems to be someone who will cut the line. Talking on the phone with an agent can be really frustrating. Other things that require waiting: (do you find any of them annoying) Waiting online for a Black Friday or Going Out of Business sale. Waiting online at the post office to mail a package. Grocery checkout lines.

I have got a very bad connection tonight so I will stick to just answering the headline question Spring. I hate waiting for Spring. I don't get out much during the winter as my wife is not allowed to go out in cold weather so I stay at home with her and keep her company. It's pretty hellish for her so the least I can do is do my best to try and keep her spirits up. Winter for us is December, January, February, March. So when April arrives it's like a big dark cloud has been lifted and we can get back on our motorbike and do stuff. Like this week we are glamping on the Moray Coast of Scotland and it's been warm and Sunny. We have done 1000 miles already this month. Been out every day, and we did get a few days in March out on the bike as well. Winter drags on and on and on. Dark and cold and dismal. Then the clocks change and hooray for us Spring has Sprung. I think I am quite a patient person and quite reserved in general, so waiting on other stuff doesn't worry me that much at all. I had to call my Energy provider today. 45 minutes on hold listening to Bach and Beethoven. Very relaxing.

That is a great example and one I share. When spring arrives more daylight hours, warmer weather, beautiful flowers coming up, and a chance to be outside and do things. I do not have your patience, lol. Although if you're a Bach and Beethoven fan the free concert over the phone makes the wait worthwhile.

Waiting for transportation can make one anxious. I remember the times I flew. Waiting during security check, making sure the flight was on time, waiting to board the plane, all can make you antsy for sure. Other things that require waiting: -Waiting to check in to a hotel -Getting your license updated at the DMV (Motor Vehicle) -Waiting for your meal at a restaurant or waiting for a table

Waiting for someone that you took to the Doctor's office. Even getting on my tablet while waiting after awhile I get bored.

With my anxiety problems any kind of wait is almost intolerable for me except getting cash from surveys and gift cards online.
