Things That Make My Head Hurt

This new James Webb Telescope is no joke. Its something like 930,000 miles away from us. Something about keeping it out of the earths shadow and the Sun. Its so powerful it is reading Galaxies that are supposedly older than the big bang itself. That's easy, they probably just did the math wrong. Nothing travels faster than the speed of light. Essentially , you are looking back in time for every star you see in the night sky. That being said, online rumors say they found lights on one of the closest planets to us. Proxima Centauri is the closest star to us outside our sun but maybe they added a B to a Earth like planet. Anyway,NASA says this is made up and it made me think. This powerful telescope can see so far back in time. It can see galaxies before this place even existed but it is not detecting any lights like our planet. Not a one, damn I feel lonely. 2nd scary point is if it were true, can you imagine what we look like? A damn Christmas tree, we always worried about security. The aliens going what dumb dumbs to light whole planet that way. There is also a third point I think, oh yeah, its just about travel. Even if there were lights somewhere, why you would never really care is how long it would take to get there. Proxima Centari B is over 7 trillion miles away . Elon Musk is close to laying out a dollar bill path for us to get there though. Capitalism rules.

Love the pictures from JWT, not convinced about its ability to see planets, even as "close" as Alpha Centauri!

You misunderstood something, brother... Alpha Centauri B is another star in the Alpha Centauri star system and there are actually 3 stars orbiting each other in that star system. There are a possible 5 planets orbiting the three stars in that system.
