I made the phone call I wanted to make, and was told that someone at the school district office had been trying to contact me via email about the fact that my Real ID (which I has submitted a copy of to them) had expired.
After a lot of back and forth and runaround on the DMV website, their "chatbot" and "agent" on online chat, and a few phone calls, I am needing to get some form to fill out because the phone number they have is my old one, and I cannot renew my Real ID online because of it. I am now on hold after talking to a lady from some DMV department to get some forms to change my phone number on their website.
Ah, wonderful government agencies....
Sometime this afternoon, I'm guessing, I'll be able to go to the post office and send the things that....
Oh, my gosh. I just spoke with an actual person, and she said that my ID doesn't expire until 2028.
She had me look at my ID, and sure enough, the expiration date is 2028!
I guess I sent the school lady the wrong photos/photos of the wrong ID.
I called the School District lady back, and left a message saying that I must have sent her the wrong photos, and will send her new ones.
Right now, however, I need to get to the post office and ship some things.
Hope all is well with you (and not too crazy) in your part of myLot land!

Me, too! I had to get one when I went to work at that crazy Coast Guard daycare job.
That may be the only good thing to come out of that, but God knows.

@xstitcher Because they can. It's idealy to prevent fraud. Make it to easy, then you can be scammed. Make it harder, then it's less likely because a cammer won't put in the effort.

It sure does--I have no idea why they make it so complicated.

I don't have a Real ID, I only have a Driver's License. I haven't needed one before and may not ever need one.
