My husband is a toy collector. He collected toys as early as the 1985. As we are starting to live minimally. He started to let go some of these toys, he give it to someone he knows that will continuously take care of it (e.g., cousins, friends). While I on the other hand, collected bags and jewelries which I consider passing it on to the next generation of my family. I believe that when we choose to collect these items, we also consider the value that it can bring us in the future.

If you have collected something with so much of heart and love, there is a lot of sentimental value. You can't let it go easily or pass it on to anyone. You will give it to those who will value it the same way as you do.

I recently , well 3 years ago sold my entire collection of vinyl records. I got quite a good amount for the whole lot. So I was quite pleased. We had moved to a smaller house and did not have enough space to keep them. And to be honest didn't really play the records very much for the last 20 years. My wife collects jewellery and purses. She has quite the collection which she says she will sell some day

My husband also collects vinyl records and he is not yet letting it go for now. It was just stack together, he would play it every year (during New Year's eve). We are just taking it slow, maybe we would also get there if he decides to sell it. I honestly understands where your wife is coming from. lol!

I love little toys. I have three small wooden vehicles and a small rubber tractor that I believe was made in the '50s.

@larish I do have the little tractor. The funny part is that I bought it from a thrift store years ago for a dime. It says it was made in Ohio.
