We Finally Turned Our Air Conditioning On

It's a "game" each year to make it until May 1st before we turn on the air conditioning and until Thanksgiving to turn on the furnace. We try to save money.
But two days ago it was 78F in here and we can't sleep in that heat and we were both feeling sweaty so we turned on the air conditioning.
Our utility bill, comprised of both gas and electric, has only been $75/month for the last couple of months because neither furnace nor a/c has been running.
Our worst bill in the summer heat in the 90's for a month in July or August will only reach about $120/mo.
Have you turned your a/c on yet for the season? How hot is it where you are? It's near 80F here.

My A/C has been running nonstop for about the last month. I'm not going to like my electric bill when it comes out soon.
I'm like you, I like to play the game of seeing how long I can go without my A/C kicking on. I also shoot for May 1, but given that I live in Florida we usually don't make it to April. lol

I've been relying on the ceiling fan when I get warm. It's been fluctuating between the 50s and 70s.
