Common sense prevails.

For a number of years now there has been a proposal to build a “visitors centre” (over-priced and poor quality cafe and over-priced gift shop) on the side of Slieve Donard, the highest peak in the mountains of Mourne, Northern Ireland. Even worse, there was to be a cable car running to it from a kilometre below. But common sense has prevailed and the plans have been scuppered by the agency that manages the land. This is such good news but some are bitterly disappointed - those who stood to take in the profits from the spoilation of the natural beauty of the place. It’s a pity that business sees only profit in nature. Anyway, the destruction of the natural habitat and the ugly blot on the landscape are doomed. Tourists will not be forking out a lot of holiday money to be hoisted up a mountain to see the view and drink crappy, expensive bilge that would be called coffee. No need for it.

That's good that it's not going to happen.
