My husband usually gets his eyes checked about once a year and has faithfully done this for about 5 years as they are concerned about his left eye as there is a non cancerous spot on it. Finally about 4 or 5 years past since I've had my eyes checked, we decide to have my eyes checked. The last time I had my eyes checked was at a local Walmart optometrist, they didn't go into a lot of examining the eyes. This optometrist did several tests. The first test was I was in a room and they put a "patch" on one eye and asked me what was the smallest letters I could read.....I couldn't see anything!!! Oh, my gosh my eyesight it worse than I thought!!! No, I just wasn't looking in the right spot!!!
Then they dialated my eyes and I had to put my chin on this bar as they put like these binoculars I had to look into. Well, my chin wasn't right on the bar, so I asked the lady which chin should I use!!!
But every thing turned out good, just a little change in my lenses and I also opted for having bifocals as, when I'm reading or on the computer I take my glasses off. Then I forget and get up to do something in another room and can't see very well. I remember I don't have my glasses on and then I have to try and find my glasses without wearing my glasses!!! I did get a new pair of glasses!!!

I hated wearing bifocals, much prefer progressives. I should get my eyes checked again sometime soon. It's been a couple of years.

I had bifocals before but they had the lines, these don't!! It took a little bit to get use to, but I hung with it. Istill when on the computer find myself taking my glasses off. For reading I just adjust my book!!

I remember my eye exam. Ugh! It feels so weird to have your eyes dilated. I had my first cataract surgery a couple of years ago. The doctor said I'd have to do the other eye sometime down the road. I try to go without my glasses as much as I can. Which isn't much.
