Weddings aren't family reunions

I got married a year ago and I felt bad that some of our guests didn't show up. They didn't even contact us ahead that they're not coming even when we sent then an RSVP. I had a lot of guests in mind, but we prioritized our families and relatives because we don't want our parents to feel bad about it.
Weddings are a big thing in our country and people can even hold grudges if they feel they were not invited nor considered.

The family feel is slowly vanishing specially from the minds of youngsters.

@eLsMarie It is more to do with sspending time where they feel achieved compared to being in a family environment

@allknowing I guess so also. Maybe they no longer find our company beneficial or comforting for them.
