White Pomfret is the fish that every one likes and that is beyond the middle class What used to cost around fifteen or twenty ruppes a fish is now for the same fish one has to pay over Rs 500. Since I have given up eating fish this has not affected me but when I was planning on a menu for a meeting I will be having at my place the caterer mentioned that to me. I had to give up on adding pompret in the menu Instead there will be prawn pullao What have you given up eating on account of its price having been sky rocketed? The price of fish depends on which fish you buy. Sardines are inexpensive (around $ 5 per Kg), while salmon is about $ 20 pr Kg and tuna even more.
