Today's trip to the little Tesco. (Tues 6th May 2025)

I forgot to tell you I didn't go shopping down town on Friday because my Mum didn't really want anything, and I didn't really need anything, so I didn't go. But I've just been to the little Tesco. I got a bit more than usual today. My Mum said, the point of going shopping with the trolley is to fill it! It was nice out, but not warm enough to go without a coat, so I wore my fleece. It's lovely and warm. I've had it for years. My Mum gave me her shopping list, club card, TV magazine voucher and £30 in cash. And I set off. When I got to the shop, I got the TV magazines as usual, then I got some chocolate croissants for my Mum and Syd, a snickers bar for Syd and some malted milk biscuits for my Mum. Then I went round to see if there were any strawberries without white tops, and I managed to get two of them. One was reduced because it has today's date on it. My Mum said she didn't think the little Tesco sold walnuts, so I checked opposite the strawberries, where some nuts are, and low and behold there were some walnuts, so I got those. My Mum wanted me to see if I could get some hunter's chicken from the chill cabinet next to the strawberries, so I had a look in there, and to my surprise I managed to find some of that too! So I got one of those. After that it was straight to the milk, and I got 2 bottles of milk for my Mum. Then I went and got some honey roast peanuts, and then I went to pay. It was a lot more expensive today, because of everything I'd got, even with the club card and TV magazine voucher. It came to just over £25, so Mum didn't even get a note in her change! After I'd payed, I set off for home. I saw a lady just up the street from the shop, and she said, Chilly, isn't it? and I said Yeah. But actually, it was only chilly in the shade. When you got into the sunshine it was quite warm. When I got home I told my Mum it was a lot more expensive today, and I gave her her change which was only in coins. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Mum wanted me to put the hunter's chicken in the fridge rather than the freezer because she wants to have it tonight. was 15 minutes early for Homes Under the Hammer today, and it's just started.
