Thankful to Donald Thumb for 100 percent tariffs on Indian Cinema

I don't want to talk about impending war between India and Pakistan.
An army is smarting at having lost wars, and wants to redeem its reputation and glory within the country.
It uses terrorists to reduce armed forces expenses because when a terrorist dies, the government does not have to pay pension to the widow/s and parents, nor pay for their medical treatment if they are maimed. As a compensatory measure, it chooses to look the other way when these terrorists earn through crimes like trafficking children, trafficking women, trafficking drugs, trafficking arms, and committing some crimes like hijacking, stealing cars, rapes, blackmails, etc., even if they are done against own citizens.
But I digress.
Why I am thankful to Donald Thumb is, he will finally force Indian filmmakers to make films for the audience that has shifted to western content. Most of us do not watch regional movies, because they are made for lowest class people. We prefer watching old English or American movies, even re runs, rather than local movies, unless reviews are good. Now, finally, the filmmakers will realize that catering to nostalgic needs of the migrant Indians is not gonna keep them afloat, and so they will try to woo us as well.
Am I glad? Of course!!!
Once that happens, the television content will also improve. I don't watch any of the dramas, as they have to show a woman suffering in silence. I do not identify with her, even if she is applauded by everybody.
I believe in "doing something about it".
If it means unleashing my tongue so be it, but my security mental peace and mental health are important to me.
I will never be the first to take the wrong step. But I will not take any wrong against me, lying down. No. Not the tragedy queen. LOL I don't need that kinda applause...
If movies improve, hopefully these stupid sitcoms also improve.
Thank you Mr. Donald Trump.

@crossbones27 Thank you. :) Your language is a tad complex to understand, but what little I understand, I do resonate with. :)

Just now
In a way, if someone wants to support their local film industry, it is fine.
I do not think that Indian movies get much business from US.
Also, on PPP comparison, I assume that the ticket prices in US, even after the 100% tariff might be less than movie ticket prices in PVR and similar multiplexes.
If I have to take my whole family to a movie, I have to separately budget it out.
Movie + eating out can cost somewhere around 2000 to 2500 INR, and that is a big amount!
So we prefer watching on streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Jio Hotstar or on YouTube.
I earlier had a Netflix subscription also but we were not using it regularly so I did not renew it, even though Netflix keeps on sending me emails!
By the way, both India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire under US pressure.
Yet I think real justice would only be served when that Jihadi Army Chief Asim Munir is held to a trial in the International Court of Justice for abetting terror and inflammatory Jihadi thinking.
