A glass of water before bed and after rising

As I shared before, I was once a serious drunkard but a time came when I just said no, picked myself up and promised myself to dump the bottle. As sobriety began to take over me, I started becoming more aware of myself and in fact delved into finding ways of quick recovery, to mend parts of me that’d been badly affected by close to a decade of daily drinking. One of the most effective which actually makes me feel really strong and healthy is early and late hydration. I mean when I take a glass of water – whether warm or cold just before bed, I have a great sleep which is only interrupted by a one time visit to the latrine to pee. Similarly, drinking a glass of cold water first thing in the morning energizes me, making me start the day on a high note. I usually take my first glass of water for the day at 4:15 am. My last glass for the day is usually 11:15 pm. Of course I drink water during the day, but the quantity depends on the kind of work I have done, the day’s weather conditions or the types of food I eat during the particular day. The first and last glasses for the day are however mandatory, and I think I have developed a habit. Have you ever drank water last thing before bed or first thing after rising?

Yes in sometimes when it's hot in the morning.

That is good. Water helps in cooling the body as well as keeping it hydrated,

I don't do it as a habit but I know it's supposed to be a good thing. I usually have coffee when I first get up.

Coffee is also good but I prefer to have it in the evenings especially after a heavy dinner as it keeps me alert for hours

Same here—right after waking up, I drink a glass of water on an empty stomach, but I prefer it warm, not cold. Before bed, I also make sure to drink water—at room temperature—about 30 minutes to an hour before sleeping.

That is wonderful. It really works very well for me. Keeps me alert and energized. Also keeps my appetite ok.
