Cell Phone Radiation Risks

A news bulletin from one of our local radio stations here in Kenya has reminded me of a debate we had as teens just a year before I joined campus. Back then cell phones were rather rare and whoever discussed issues about them was deemed modern or say more exposed. I was lucky my uncle had a Motorola handset and I had asked him a few things about it. Apart from explaining a few things he also gave me a manual and from it I managed to read a warning about dangerous radiations that users were required to beware about. Fast forward, close to two decades late, today, in a bulletin, it was reported that most phones release radiations that could lead to cancer or damage our nerves. He described manners in which the use of cell phones exposes the users to radiation risks, for instance too close to their chests, eyes or laps. Using cell phones that have been smuggled into the countries could also pose such risks. Do you know of any other cell phone radiation risks? Are there ways to limit cell phone radiation risks in your country?

That is good that they did this notification. I think people forget. This information has been around as long as the cell phone has been in existence. I don't think there is any way to limit this, but using it less would be a good start.

@SIDIKIMPOLE .......That's true. Just have to legally tell their customers, I think.

Yes, it is on the side of the user to decide, the makers have little or no control. They only caution,

I'm not into smartphones. I use my cellphone for 2-3 hours a day only. That's the advice for you to use cellphone everyday.
