The flower sellers had a ball on Mother's Day morning

Nope, the kids didn't buy the flowers. Blame it on me - I didn't give them the money and was working a 24 hour period till the morning. But then, the world understands that there are awesome people like me and the street sides were scattered with pop up flower stalls from early in the morning. So it wasn't a big task to buy flowers on the way home in the morning. And don't even ask me how breakfast popped up with a lazy teenager! Happy mother's day to all those mothers and mother-models here. And a big hug to those who find days like this hard.

@Ineeddentures we ended up buying an avocado smash - there was no bread or bacon or even egg as we were due a supermarket run!

@pitstop Probably a better idea anyway. A nice bacon roll with a fried egg

I'm lucky my mom is still here. Don't know for how long as life is so finite.

Thanks for the good wishes. My BIL bought a small bunch of flowers from his garden which was nice of him. He and his daughter came for a meal with us.

Your last line is kind and incredibly thoughtful. I miss my mother, but I’m always happy to see others celebrate with their own.

Hugs to you. Days like this are hard for such a variety of reasons and we should hold people who find it hard.
