Happy Monday morning everyone! It's 5:30n in the morning here and I'm getting my day started. It's going to be a long one. First, I hope that everyone had a good Mother's Day! We had a pretty decent one. It involved a two hour wait to get into the Olive Garden and slow service but that was what my mom and grandmother wanted to that's what we did. Today is going to be a long one. I need to run into Sparta to get some gas for my car then on the way back, pick up my gear from my husband. We woke up at the last minute this morning so I let him keep it in his truck for right now. After that I'll be stopping by the Marine shop on the way into Smithville to drop off the flyer I made for our open house on the 31st this month. It's ok, I think I could do better but I don't have all the time in the world right now. I need to stop by the station and see if there is a leak in the engine's tank. We saw a puddle on the floor beneath it the other day but I thought maybe one of the guys maybe opened a valve or something so I'll check it out today. I also need to see if anyone fueled it up from being out on Sunday morning. At noon I'll be meeting our friend Cheyenne and maybe Chris to start talking about the baby shower for a fellow friend and firefighter Alyssa. We found out she'll be having the baby two weeks early so we're not sure if it's going to change the date and time for the shower or not right now. It's one of the things we need to discuss. I'm hoping after that to get some rest but I know I probably won't lol. It's official that I'll be taking the AEMT course in August so I've been studying from the book that I got from McKays. It probably won't be exact which is why I'm not taking notes from it but it'll give me the basics. It's working a bit so I'm not stopping. June starts EMR and I'll be helping with that class. It should be two nights a week and then a few hands on Saturdays. I'm going to be running on a lot of caffeine again soon but it'll all be worth it. I really think that Kristie is grooming me to take over for her. That's what it feels like some days. It helps that I'm not only good at what I do but everything I do is basically what she does lol. I just don't want her to feel like that's what I'm doing. That probably doesn't make sense. So I want her to want that, not feel like I'm trying to push her out. I swear I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. Anyway there's still alot to do for the shop before the event this weekend. I'm really hoping the weather holds off because it doesn't look good right now. I have two orders to get done and I'm trying to think of some book based lip glosses. I'm trying to figure out a rainbow one based off the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Mac was referred to as the Rainbow Girl in that series and I want to do one for that. I started Bared to You by Sylvia Day the other day. I love the Crossfire series and I wanted to reread that before I read her new one Ireland about Gideon's sister. I'm still trying to sell the cat house and now this 12 cube cubby hole. They're like get rid of asap things. Phew! So what is everyone else up to lol?
