Well we all know that already since he says the most insane things that are demonstrably untrue like how he is the most handsome president ever or that he would run into a school in an active shooter situation to save students. Today among the other whoppers he told while in UAE he said this: "First week eggs were up 200%. Now they are down to a number--down 97%, 98% from what they were." The average high in March was $6.23 per dozen. A 97% drop from there would mean that eggs are currently averaging 21 cents a dozen. Anyone seeing eggs for less than a quarter in their area? Yeah of course not. It is true that egg prices have come down but the average for a dozen is now $5.12 which is an 18% decrease. He just makes up the most outlandish numbers, the MAGA cult takes him at his word, and his sycophant Republican allies are too afraid to do anything other than solemnly agree with him. It is insane. Yeah Trump lies. We know this. But he could lie in a less outrageous way. Want to overstate the drop in egg prices? Say they are down 30%. It is a lie but a more believable one to people who couldn't pass high school math. It is CLEAR to anyone with eyeballs and a bank account that egg prices are not down 97%. He is insulting Americans by saying something so blatantly false.
