On our way home

We are on our way home.
As we left quite early and the weather is so excellent we decided to take the much longer but more scenic root home.
So we headed from Findhorn to Forres then Granton on Spey and over to Aviemore where we have stopped for a coffee.
Then it's down the A9 through Kincraig , Kingussie and Newtonmore before heading to Dunkeld, Coupar Angus, Forfar and back home to Brechin.
About 120 miles from here in Aviemore.
As I said it's a beautiful day again.
Here is a nice picture from our seats where we are enjoying our first coffee in a few days and the sunshine

You must be truly a lover of nature for you to take that long route just to experience thescenic beauty around.

I just noticed I typed root and not route.
The scenery between Forrest and Grant on on Spey is breathtaking.
The Cairngorm National Park is so ething to behold.
And then between Granton on Spey and Aviemore is a really good 15 mikes on the bike - some lovely long straight stretches

There's no way I'd understand the route you mentioned in your second paragraph. But what I understand is that you are having an excellent weather. And the weather is so good that you drove by a longer route. That's the magic of having a beautiful time. It freshens up our mind as well.

@Ineeddentures Ohhhh come on. I love riding bikes. And that's why, instead of traveling through public transport or car, I prefer to ride. That gives some really scenic views. They are lovely to watch on the way. It refreshes our mind and soul.
Monsoon has just set in here. A bit earlier this time. So it would be fun, more fun riding bikes through beautiful nature. Aahh.. It's quite lovely.

Great to see you again.
Wonderful weather.
And it's been really good since the end of March.
Scotland is t usually associated with long hot dry spells in May but this year April was really good also

@Ineeddentures - We had the most rainy month of April I can remember since I was born and the first two weeks of May not better. Today is sunny.

That's not good but I bet our farmers would love a considerable amount of rain right now
Another scorcher here today

We got home safe and sound Raquel.
The bike behaved itself and had no issues at all.
Did 600 miles on it in the last week and 400 on the trip before on our last holiday.
Scenery is unbelievable and the weather has been like in Turkey just now.
A lady at a cafe told us our weather is better than in Turkey where she had just come back from
